Oskarek Murray, * 14 September 2007 at 2.40 p.m.

So I am here! My parents named me Oskar Jozef Murray and I was born on 14 September 2007 at 2:40 p.m. in the Neratovice Hospital. We were afraid of a traffic jam that might make my delivery complicated, but “luckily” all started at 3:00 in the morning. Mummy managed quickly, even without help of daddy, who had to return home to take care of my brother Oliver. APGHAR score was excellent 10, 10, 10 – weight 3.190g and length 50cm. Unfortunately, my favourite doctor was not in the country then. I too hoped that he would bring me to this world after the 3á weeks when he so nicely watched my prenatal development. I sleep well and eat a lot, taking nearly 400g a week. And as I was born on Friday, a lot of my relatives and friends of my parents celebrated that day, causing a lot of hiccup to me and my mother!

Dear Dr. Chlebecek,
My little boy Oskarek has just celebrated his first birthday, so it has been a year since he came into the world (I"m trying to keep my promise of an update in English :o) and that was on 14.9.2007 in Neratovice hospital.
Oskarek has a four year old brother Oliver who was born in Bangkok, so when we moved to the Czech Republic and I got pregnant for the second time, I knew it would be quite hard to find the "Thai hospitality" in this country.
My story: Whilst searching for a gynecologist on the internet, I came across this website and I thought this is it! I couldn"t have asked more from the first visit. a very pleasant nurse invited me in (later known as Hanicka Plchova :o) and it was decided once I met Mudr.Chlebecek, that this doctor would delivery my baby!
The care I have received throughout the pregnancy was excellent, his work place very pleasant & modern and although the waiting room was often full, my check up was never hurried and I always had his full attention. I also needed a special scan at the Prenatal centre in Modrany. I had my regular check ups with Mudr. Brestak and I could only recommend this doctor.
Unfortunately, on the day I delivered my baby, my beloved doctor was boarding a plane to the US for a business trip, but I was taken care of by his colleague (this was arranged beforehand just in case this happens).
My birth was quite quick. my first contractions started at 4 a.m. it got regular and "quite noticeable" around lunchtime and my baby boy was delivered at 4 p.m.
The hospital is quite popular, so unfortunately, there was no "private above standard" room available and I ended up sharing a room with three other ladies. It was actually quite nice as we all had newborn babies and would share our stories and advice whilst our babies were sleeping next to us :o) The only downside was that when I returned after the birth, exhausted, these ladies were getting family visitors to admire the babies, so I didn"t get much quiet rest. It is a shame there is no "recovery room" for the ones who don"t have a private room, where you could stay for a few hours.
The staff at Neratovice hospital was friendly & supportive; it felt like being in a family hospital. I didn"t manage to visit the hospital prior to my birth (I was scheduled to come on the day I delivered!). My family lives 3 hours away from Prague, so there I was in a place I have never been before with my newborn baby. but it felt right from the start and I have the staff to thank for that.
Once again thank you Dr. Chlebecek for all your fantastic care and being so nice to us clumsy, "sensitive to everything" and forgetful, but happy pregnant ladies! That"s what I was anyway :o)
